in the big apple

sorry for the lack of updates as i have been busy packing my luggage, checking out of my residence and preparing for my new york trip with hongjuan!

hongjuan and i survived the 12 hour bus ride from toronto to new york! so we are now safely in the big apple.

my hwa chong junior edwin kindly let us stay at his place in downtown new york, which is near new york university. hongjuan's good friend also drove us around the streets of new york. really grateful to them for orientating us.

i also managed to meet up with edwin (not the edwin mentioned earlier), my australian chinese friend who stayed in the same residence as me in toronto. we had a sumptuous dinner at a mexican restaurant and walked down times square at night.

kimchi! my roommate kelly and i devoured them all, leaving none for genevieve and yiling (because they don't fancy kimchi)

alas, our last lunch together before we head for home in our respective countries!

snow snow snow!

it snowed yesterday morning!

i woke up thinking it was yet another nondescript thursday morning until yiling knocked on my door and excitedly told me that it was snowing outside!

snow came exceptionally early this year. we all thought it will only snow in late dec or early jan. i thought i was going to miss snow!

Road Trip to Algonquin Provincial Park 14 Oct 07

Road trip to Algonquin Provincial Park with my floormates from the fifth floor of my residence on Sunday 14 October 2007.

It was one of the best trips I've been on so far. The scenery was gorgeous and the company of my floormates was great.
