Yiling went off to new york with her jc friends on friday night, so hongjuan and I spent saturday in toronto.
First stop - Chinatown
we went to a chinese restaurant
contented hongjuan
i look as though i haven't eaten for ages
excited by hum chim peng
and we finished everything.
At night we watched a musical with only five actors, a pianist and no props. We enjoyed ourselves.
The next day, we set off for waterloo but before that, we went to chinatown to buy chinese pastries and shopped at Eaton Centre near my residence. I bought a pair of shoes and sunglasses from Aldo (they had a sale and things were going at really cheap prices) and two lovely tops from Stitches. Burned a hole in my pocket, but I'm happy!
Waterloo is very different from toronto. It is rather quiet and there are few buildings. It looks like a sleepy little town. No wonder hongjuan says she's bored in waterloo.
But we saw nice things in waterloo that you can't see in bustling Toronto.
railway tracks
train approaching
the magnificent colours of fall
i love this picture
artistic shot of a bridge

Thanks hongjuan for such an enjoyable weekend!
